Our Taekwondo Programs

We have several programs for a variety of purposes, ranging from basic martial arts, to self-defense, to esteem and life skills building and more. Over the years, Raberge's has come to realize that there are many reasons for studying taekwondo, and we have worked to develop programs that will help realize these goals rather than forcing our students into one, linear area of study and practice.

Taekwondo itself is always evolving, and we will always develop new programs and update our existing programs to ensure our students have as much access to the different aspects of taekwondo as possible.

The teaching curriculum at our academy is based on two concepts: positive mental attitude and high goal setting. We feel so strongly about this program that we promise to give you and your family the most professional, well-supervised, and the highest quality classes available in any sport or art.

Honor Stripes

Every week, our younger color belt students are encouraged to show their black belt attitudes at home and at school. In our Honor Stripe program, students receive one red stripe to display on their belts for exemplary behavior at school and home. At each color belt testing, the students who've earned the greatest number of honor stripes are invited to a party to which they can invite their friends.

Instructor Training

The Instructor Training program is where students gain leadeship experience. There are four steps to one's becoming a certified instructor, and each step has its requirements. Anyone may join the instructor training program, but a student must be at least 18 years old to become a fully-certified instructor.

Students moving through the instructor trainee program signify their progress on their doboks with patches on their shoulders and ribbons along the length of their collars.
